When my mother died, I was devastated. She left her estate to me and my two sisters to be shared equally. But then, one of my sisters claimed that she should have received a larger share of the estate as she claimed she was impoverished and suffering from chronic illness. Family violence had been tearing my life apart for the last few years and when I decided to get away from my violent partner, I had no idea of the legal mess I was walking into.
